Yellowcard Cancel UK Tour
Ryan has to pull tour due to ill health
It is with great regret that Yellowcard have to cancel their forthcoming December UK tour. Unfortunately lead vocalist Ryan Key is unable to fly due to ill health. Ryan Key has issued the following statement to his fans:
"Hi everyone its Ryan. I wanted to let you all know the specifics regarding the UK shows that we had to cancel. First let me say that we would never cancel a show under any circumstances unless it was absolutely necessary. For the past month I've had something going on with my throat and I finally got a couple of days off and was able to see my doctor. Turns out I have what they call a nodule on my vocal chords. That's about the worst news you can get. If we don't take care of it now there is a serious risk of surgery which could put us out of commission for quite some time.
We are so sorry to all of you that were coming to these shows but we want to come back and see you as much as possible next year so we are trying to fix the problem now. You will all get your tickets refunded and have first dibbs on tickets for the March shows. I promise we are not doing this just to get some time off. The shows were sold out and you don't even know how excited we were when we got that news. Please forgive us and we hope to see you all in March." – Ryan Key
All fans will be offered a full refund for their tickets. Yellowcard have announced the following dates in March;
March Wed 1st Bristol Carling Academy Thu 2nd London Astoria Sat 4th Manchester Academy Mon 6th Newcastle University Tue 7th Glasgow Carling academy Thu 9th Nottingham Rock city Fri 10th Birmingham Carling academy Sat 11th Norwich UEA
Unfortunately tickets for the December tour cannot be exchanged for tickets for the March tour. Yellowcard release their second album ‘Lights and Sounds’ on January 23rd. We wish the band all the best, and Ryan a speedy recovery. |
